The competent authority for GMOs is the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. As there have been no applications yet, the conditions for conducting clinical gene therapy trials with GMOs have not been fully discussed. The National Institute of Pharmacy is the competent authority for clinical trials for human medicines.
